Highlands Ability Battery

At this retreat we will discover and unpack our natural abilities and how to use them effectively in all areas of our lives. This will be based on the Highlands Ability Battery, an online assessment tool that every intern will do as part of the internship program.

Interns will complete the online assessment prior to the August retreat. During our time together Mike and Melri Wright will guide us through interpreting our Highlands results. These sessions will help us better understand our own natural strengths, as well as gain a new appreciation for how others are wired differently.

Reflection

We’ll take time to reflect on the impact of our summer experiences, consider goals for the coming year, and explore some final practices to take into our future.

Mike and Melri Wright

Mike and Melri Wright have worked with youth and youth workers for more than 20 years and are currently part of the team that directs Ledge Leadership, an organization that develops young leaders.

“At Ledge, we have found that people are able to lead and impact others more effectively when they come from a place of understanding their own abilities, strengths, and challenges. As a result, we work with people to help them discover their natural abilities and how they can use that knowledge to make decisions about future education, career paths, and lead more effectively.”

Mike and Melri are dedicated to helping individuals develop their capacity to become leaders who Risk, Reflect, and Relate as a way of life.
